How QR Code Payment Splitter Works

QR Code Payment Splitter is designed to make it simple to collect one customer bill through multiple smaller UPI QR payments.

  1. Select or save the merchant UPI ID. Choose a saved UPI ID or add the UPI ID that should receive the customer's payments.
  2. Enter the Total Bill Amount. Type the complete amount the customer needs to pay.
  3. Click Generate QR Codes. The tool calculates the minimum number of QR codes needed based on the ₹1,999 maximum per QR.
  4. Random payment amounts are created. The bill is randomly distributed across the QR codes. The amounts can change every time you generate them.
  5. Every QR stays within the limit. No generated QR payment amount can exceed ₹1,999.
  6. The total remains exact. Exact paise calculations ensure that all QR amounts together equal the original Total Bill Amount without a rounding difference.
  7. Scan and pay each QR. The customer scans the QR codes using a compatible UPI-enabled payment app and completes each payment.
  8. Use the payment remark for identification. Each QR contains a remark such as “Payment received from QR Code No. 1” so the merchant can identify the QR number associated with a payment screenshot.
  9. Verify payments manually. The current version does not automatically detect payment status. The merchant should confirm successful transactions in the UPI app or bank account.

Example: ₹4,500 Bill Split Into UPI QR Codes

A ₹4,500 bill needs at least three QR codes because two QR codes can collect a maximum of ₹3,998 when each QR is capped at ₹1,999.

One generation might produce ₹1,324.21 + ₹1,538.33 + ₹1,637.46 = ₹4,500.00. If the merchant generates the same ₹4,500 bill again, the QR amounts may be different because the allocation is randomized.

Important Payment Verification Information

A QR code is a payment request and does not by itself confirm that a payment was successfully completed. QR Code Payment Splitter therefore does not display an automatic “Payment Received” status. Merchants should verify successful transactions through their UPI app or bank account and use the QR number and payment remark to reconcile payment screenshots.
